Elisabeth Scheickl
Elisabeth Scheickl (* 1932 in Vienna ) is a former Austrian actress .
life and career
Elisabeth Scheickl was born in Vienna in 1932, where she graduated from the Vienna Fashion School in Schloss Hetzendorf and then began studying acting at the Max Reinhardt Seminar . However, she had to stop this because of a serious illness and was never able to complete it. In the 1950s she received her first roles in theater plays. Including as the Elf Queen Titania in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream . She also played in Jura Soyfer's Broadway Melodie 1492 (also Broadway Melody 1492 ) and toured all of Austria as Gretchen in Goethe's Urfaust . After the then 20-year-old took on a "bread and butter" job in 1952, her life as an artist took a back seat. It was not until the 1980s that she appeared again artistically, gave readings at the side of Marianne Schönauer , Maresa Hörbiger or Karl Hodina and was also seen again in plays. She worked in the Theater Experiment am Liechtenwerd or in the Theater-Center-Forum . Furthermore, she was seen for years in the children's program of the ORF . On May 21, 2002, Elisabeth Scheickl was awarded the Golden Medal of Merit of the State of Vienna , which she received on November 4, 2002. At the same time she played in various television productions; for example as Magda Schickl in Tatort: Tödliche Tagung (2002) or in Schneemann sucht snowwoman (2002).
