Jason George (born May 21, 2001 ) is a German basketball player . He is in the squad of the German Bundesliga club FC Bayern Munich .

career

George played for TSG Söflingen in 1864 and for the team at the Urspring School . For the latter, he achieved fabulous scores in the 2016/17 JBBL season: on average, he scored 25.7 points, 19.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists in nine missions. He was also used for the NBBL and the men's team of the TuS Urspring School in the second regional league. In the summer of 2017, George switched to the youth department of the Bundesliga club ratiopharm Ulm and was included in the OrangeAcademy for the 2nd Bundesliga ProA , in which Ulm's talents gain experience in the men's field and are introduced to the Bundesliga squad. With the team, he missed staying in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA in the 2017/18 season and had to suffer relegation. In August 2018 he and other talents from European countries took part in “Basketball without Borders Europe”, a training camp organized by the NBA and the world association FIBA , in Belgrade .

At the end of November 2018, George switched to the youth department of FC Bayern Munich to play in the second and third men's teams and in the U19s. With the FCB U19 he became German champion at the end of May 2019. At the end of January 2020, he was used for the first time in the Bundesliga basketball game against Bonn .

National team

George played six games for the German team during the 2017 U16 European Championship. In April 2018 he won the Albert Schweitzer tournament with the German U18 national team . At the U18 European Championship 2018 in Latvia  , he scored an average of 7.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per match and ended up in sixth place with the German team in the final score.
