The Elizabeth City State University Bay on the Walgreen Coast of the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Lands is a bay on the south side of the Canisteo Peninsula at the eastern end of the Amundsen Sea . It is located 20 km north of search Country Islands and about 30 kilometers north-northwest of Cranton Bay .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 2012 after Elizabeth City State University , one of the locations of the University of North Carolina , from which students had investigated changes in ice thickness in the Amundsen Sea in a research project .
