Elke Reinke

Elke Reinke (born May 2, 1958 in Aschersleben ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ).

Life and work

After attending the polytechnic high school , Elke Reinke did an apprenticeship as a telecommunications technician from 1975 to 1978 . Afterwards she worked as a telecommunications mechanic at the Buna-Werke and from 1979 completed her studies at the engineering school for electrical engineering in Velten-Hohenschöpping, which she finished in 1982 as an electrical engineer . She then worked for WEMA in Aschersleben until 1986 and for LMW in Nachterstedt from 1986 to 1991 . From 1991 to 1993 Elke Reinke retrained as a forwarding agent, but remained unemployed until 2005. From 2005 to 2009 she was a member of the German Bundestag. She has been a member of the left parliamentary group since 2010.

Elke Reinke lives in Aschersleben and has two children.

Political party

From 1979 to 1989 she was a member of the SED . Through her commitment against the Hartz IV laws that also affect her , Elke Reinke became a member of the WASG in February 2005 and has been a member of the Die Linke party since 2007. In March 2006 Reinke signed the founding appeal of the anti-capitalist left (AKL), which was observed by the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV) and classified as left-wing extremist .

She has been a city councilor in Aschersleben since the local elections in 2009.

MPs

From 2005 to 2009 Elke Reinke was a member of the German Bundestag . It moved into the Bundestag through the open state list of Saxony-Anhalt of the Linkspartei.PDS .

In the federal elections in 2009 and 2013 , Elke Reinke stood in the Harz constituency and was defeated by the CDU candidate Heike Brehmer . It also did not enter the Bundestag via the state list.
