Elke Thomas
Elke Wiebke Mathilde Thomas , née Elke Jöns (born February 25, 1935 in Erfde ; † June 12, 2014 in Hamburg ) was a German CDU politician.
Life
Elke Thomas was a church musician ( organist ). She was married with two children and four grandchildren.
She joined the CDU in 1982 and was a member of the Hamburg Parliament from October 8, 1997 to 2011 . There she worked on the culture committee, the submission committee and the interior committee. Since March 17, 2004 she was secretary in the Presidium of the Citizenship. Her main focus in parliamentary work was questions about the Hamburg fire brigade (focus on volunteer fire brigade ) and repatriation policy .
