Ella Carina Werner (* 1979 in Hamburg ) is a German author, satirist and editor of the satirical magazine " Titanic ".

life and work

Werner, born 1979, grew up in East Westphalia as the daughter of a belly dancer and a psychologist, studied applied cultural sciences in Lüneburg , then worked as a literary organizer for the Berlin Literature Workshop and for the Hessian Literature Forum in Frankfurt am Main .

From 2012 to 2014 she was editor of the magazine for comic literature EXOT . She has been the editor of the Frankfurt satirical magazine Titanic since 2016 . She also publishes humorous essays, stories and reports in taz -Wahrheit, in Missy Magazine , in Frankfurter Rundschau u. a.

She lives with her family in Hamburg and runs the reading stage 'Liebe für alle' with Piero Masztalerz, Anselm Neft and Katrin Seddig.

In 2012 her semi-autobiographical family story “Die mit dem Bauch tanzt” was published by Ullstein Verlag . In 2013 she published the anthology "I think I am now with Nils" with Nadine Wedel at S. Fischer and in 2018 the bestseller novel "Rastavati" together with Jutta Weber at Rowohlt Verlag . In autumn 2020 her first short story volume "Der Untergang des Abendkleides" will be published by Satyr Verlag.

In 2011 she founded the Hamburg Diary Slam , the first German diary reading competition.
