Missy Magazine ( original spelling : MISSY MAGAZINE ; up to issue 02/10 with the subtitle Popkultur für Frauen ) is a German feminist magazine , according to its own presentation "for women that combines reporting on pop culture, politics and style with a feminist attitude".

In February 2008 Sonja Eismann , Stefanie Lohaus and Chris Köver won the prize of 25,000 euros in the Hobnox Evolution Contest for their magazine concept . With this they founded the magazine in spring 2008 and financed the first issue. The founders act together as editors and editors . The Missy Magazine was first published October 20, 2008 with a circulation of 15,000 copies, which is now a print run has been increased from 30,000 copies. It was initially published quarterly and since 2017 every two months. In 2015 and 2018, money was raised via crowdfunding to secure operations .

The magazine is self-published by Missy Magazine Verlags UG (limited liability) & Co. KG . The US magazine Bust served as a model . The magazine has its own radio show called Missy Radio on the Internet radio station Reboot.fm .

From November 2018 Missy Magazine produced the Softie format for funk . The format was discontinued at the end of 2019.
