Amphoe Phanom Sarakham ( Thai : อำเภอ พนมสารคาม ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in the province of Chachoengsao . The Chachoengsao Province is located in the eastern part of the central region of Thailand .

Neighboring districts (clockwise from the east): the districts of Sanam Chai Khet , Plaeng Yao and Ratchasan in the province of Chachoengsao and the districts of Si Mahosot and Si Maha Phot in the province of Prachin Buri .

An important river in the county is the Khlong Tha Lat .

history

Mueang Phanom Sarakham (เมือง พนมสารคาม ) was already a city in the Kingdom of Ayutthaya , as were the neighboring Mueang Phanat Nikhom (เมือง พนัสนิคม ) and Mueang Sanam Chai Khet (เมือง สนาม ไช ย์ เขต ต์ ).

In 1894 she was promoted to Phanom Sarakham County.

  • Ban Song (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ้าน ซ่อง ) consisting of the complete Tambon Ban Song.
  • Tha Than (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ท่า ถ่าน ) consisting of the complete Tambon Tha Than.
  • Ko Khanun (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เกาะ ขนุน ) consisting of parts of the tambon Ko Khanun.
  • Khao Hin Son (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เขา หิน ซ้อน ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Khao Hin Son.
  • Phanom Sarakham (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล พนมสารคาม ) consisting of parts of the tambon Phanom Sarakham.

In addition, there are six " tambon administration organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO)
