Amphoe Ban Pho (in Thai : อำเภอ บ้านโพธิ์ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the west of the province of Chachoengsao . The Chachoengsao Province is located in the eastern part of the central region of Thailand .

Neighboring districts (clockwise from north): the Amphoe Mueang Chachoengsao , Bang Khla and Plaeng Yao in the province of Chachoengsao, the Amphoe Phanat Nikhom and Phan Thong in the province of Chon Buri , the Amphoe Bang Pakong in Chachoengsao and the Amphoe Bang Bo in the Samut province Prakan .

The main river in the county is the Maenam Bang Pakong ( Bang Pakong River ).

history

Ban Pho was established in 1903 by separating part of Mueang Chachoengsao. At that time, the district of Prince Marubhongse Siribhadhana ( สมเด็จ พระเจ้า น้อง ยา เธอ กรม หมื่น มรุ พง ษ์ สิริ พัฒน์ ), the governor of Monthon Prachinburi, was initially called Sanam Chan ( สนาม จันทร์ ). The area of Sanam Chan was on either side of Maenam Bang Pakong. However, in 1906 the government separated the area on the left bank where the administration was located and renamed it Ban Pho.

When King Vajiravudh (Rama VI) later built the Sanam-Chan Palace in Nakhon Pathom in 1911 , it turned out that the name of the district was pronounced the same as that of the palace. The government changed the name to Khao Din on July 20, 1914. In 1917 the name was changed again to the current name Ban Pho.

Lat Khwang (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ลาด ขวาง ) consisting of the complete tambon Lat Khwang.
Saen Phu Dat (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล แสน ภู ดาษ ) consisting of the complete tambon Saen Phu Dat.
Theppharat (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เทพ ราช ) consisting of the parts of the Tambon Ko Rai, Theppharat.
Ban Pho (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ้านโพธิ์ ) consisting of the complete tambon Ban Pho.

In addition, there are twelve " tambon administration organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO)
