Amphoe Bang Bo ( Thai อำเภอ บางบ่อ , pronunciation: ʔāmpʰɤ̄ː bāːŋ bɔ̀ː ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the eastern part of Samut Prakan Province . The province of Samut Prakan is located in the central region of Thailand on the southeastern outskirts of Bangkok .
geography
Samut Prakan belongs to the Bangkok metropolitan area , the transition between the two cities is fluid.
The neighboring districts are (clockwise from the west): the amphoe Mueang Samut Prakan , Bang Phli and Bang Sao Thong of the province of Samut Prakan, Lat Krabang (a khet of Bangkok ), and the amphoe of Mueang Chachoengsao , Ban Pho and Bang Pakong of the province Chachoengsao . In the south is the coast to the Gulf of Thailand .
history
The county was renamed Bang Hia ( บาง เหี้ย ) to Bang Bo in 1930 .
