Amphoe Mueang Chachoengsao ( Thai : อำเภอ เมือง ฉะเชิงเทรา ) is a district ( Amphoe - Administrative District) in the Province of Chachoengsao . The Chachoengsao Province is located in the eastern part of the central region of Thailand .
geography
Chachoengsao is located on the Maenam Bang Pakong ( Bang Pakong River ) , which flows into the Gulf of Thailand 24 kilometers downstream . The city is about 100 kilometers east of Bangkok.
Neighboring districts (clockwise from north): Amphoe Bang Nam Priao , Khlong Khuean , Bang Khla and Ban Pho of Chachoengsao Province and Amphoe Bang Bo of Samut Prakan Province and the districts ( Khet ) Lat Krabang and Nong Chok of Bangkok .
