Amphoe Khlong Khuean (in Thai : อำเภอ คลอง เขื่อน ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in the province of Chachoengsao . The Chachoengsao Province is located in the eastern part of the central region of Thailand .

Neighboring districts (clockwise from the east): the Amphoe Bang Khla , Mueang Chachoengsao and Bang Nam Priao in the province of Chachoengsao and Amphoe Ban Sang in the province of Prachin Buri .

The main river in the county is the Maenam Bang Pakong .

history

Khlong Khuean was first established on May 31, 1993 as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) by being separated from Bang Khla Amphoe .

On May 15, 2007 the Thai government decided to raise all 81 King Amphoe to simple amphoe status in order to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette "Issue 124 chapter 46" on August 24, 2007 this decision officially entered into force.

  • Khlong Khuean (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล คลอง เขื่อน ) consisting of the complete Tambon Khlong Khuean.
  • Bang Lao (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล บาง เล่า ) consisting of the complete Tambon Bang Lao.
  • Bang Rong (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล บาง โรง ) consisting of the complete Tambon Bang Rong.
  • Bang Talat (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล บาง ตลาด ) consisting of the complete Tambon Bang Talat.
