Ellen M. Immergut

Ellen M. Immergut (* 1957 ) is an American political scientist . Since 2002 she has held the professorship for comparative analysis of political systems at the Humboldt University in Berlin .

Life

In 1979 Immergut graduated from Harvard University with a BA from the Faculty of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology . This was followed by the MA in 1983 and the Ph.D. in 1987. from Harvard University's Faculty of Sociology . From 1986 to 1987 she was a lecturer in political science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology . This was followed from 1987 to 1991 as an assistant professor in the Faculty of Political Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. From 1991 to 1994 she was an Associate Professor there and held the Ford International Development Chair. Between 1994 and 2002 she held the professorship (C3) for political theory in the Faculty of Public Administration at the University of Konstanz . Since 2002 she has been Professor (C4) for Comparative Analysis of Political Systems at the Humboldt University in Berlin.

Teaching

During her time in Konstanz, Immergut offered events in the fields of political theory , state theory , neo-institutionalism , comparative political science and theories of policy analysis . Immergut teaches comparative political science and international relations at the Humboldt University in Berlin .
