Ellen Ringier

Ellen Renée Ringier-Lüthy (born December 7, 1951 in Lucerne ) is a Swiss patron . Ringier is President of the Parenting Foundation and publisher of the Fritz + Fränzi parents' magazine .

life and career

Ellen Ringier grew up with two sisters in Lucerne. Her mother comes from a banking family in London, her father was a fur wholesaler from Lucerne. She studied law and graduated in 1980 with Manfred Rehbinder at the University of Zurich with the promotion from. Ringier worked as an auditor at the district court. She married the publisher Michael Ringier , with whom she has two daughters.

Ringier is involved in the areas of culture, anti-racism, women and scouts. She works for the Humanitas Foundation and was President of the Board of Trustees of the Museum Haus Konstruktiv in Zurich for 13 years . In 2001, she founded the Elternsein Foundation, which publishes the Fritz + Fränzi parenting magazine . According to Ringier, this magazine is intended to create awareness among parents and the general public about the tasks of bringing up children. She is also co-producer of the documentary #Female Pleasure by director Barbara Miller .
