Ellerbruch ( Ellerbrook in Low German ) is a district of the Wingst community in the Cuxhaven district in Lower Saxony .
history
Ellerbruch is particularly well-known due to the war cemetery inaugurated in 1921 , the so-called “Ehrenhains Ellerbruch”. In addition to soldiers killed in the two world wars, there are also soldiers who died in an ammunition explosion shortly after the end of the Second World War as part of the clean-up work at the Portland cement factory in nearby Hemmoor .
