Elsterglanz and the key to the women's sauna is the second feature film by the comedian duo Elsterglanz .

action

The first sauna in the new federal states that is reserved for women was opened at Süßen See . Svenni and Gilli absolutely want to get the key to this sauna in their possession so that they can watch the goings-on there. First the two try to cast a duplicate of the original key with the help of a soap impression. Although it is possible to distract the sauna owner for minutes by "redesigning" the sauna poster and thus creating the soap imprint of the sauna key, the casting of the key fails completely. With the help of acquaintances, Svenni and Gilli come into possession of the construction plans of the sauna property and plan to steal the second key from the strongly secured key area. To do this, a friend's cat is borrowed (price: a box of Sternburg export per day), as it is too light to trigger the alarm through the floor sensors and can open doors from the inside. So that the cat does not trigger the laser and heat sensors, a dog jacket with reflectors and cold packs is prepared for it. However, this plan also fails. Since the police arrive at the scene unexpectedly early, Svenni and Gilli have to flee.

They observe how the Klingon, a Star Trek- like clad person, enters a half-ruined tunnel. Svenni and Gilli follow him, but cannot find him in the tunnel. Instead, they meet the devil, who explains to them that the Klingon had made a pact with him, but could not keep, which is why he is now in Hell. Thereupon Svenni and Gilli also make a pact with the devil, in which they are supposed to write their souls to him and receive money, fame and women in return. But they can get their souls back if they solve a riddle given by the devil. With Gilli, however, the pact fails because he wears boots with a highly insulating sole that the power of the devil from hell (i.e. from below) cannot penetrate. Thereupon only Svenni achieves fame, money and women and breaks off the connection with Gilli. He regrets that very much and tries to get Svennis soul back from the devil. In addition to solving the riddle, this requires seven new souls. Gilli succeeds through cunning to get seven signatures for the devil pact, u. a. by Cindy from Marzahn at an autograph session and by Olaf Schubert as a representative of the volunteer fire brigade against the promise to procure the long-awaited new fire hose . Thereupon the devil deprives Svenni of his wealth in a moment that is conceivably unfavorable. With the help of a clairvoyant who puts Svenni into a trance with barbecue smoke, the smell of steak and striking a Sternburg bottle , it is also possible to solve the riddle given up by the devil. In return they receive Svennis soul, Gillis soul - and the longed-for sauna key from the devil. At the end of the film all problems are solved - until the fire brigade demands the fire hose from Gilli and gives him only three hours for it. Gilli is horrified because the fire brigade is now in league with the devil because of the pact that has been imposed.

background

As in the first film by the comedian duo, the supporting roles were almost exclusively filled with friends and acquaintances of the duo. The actors use the Mansfeld dialect. Cindy from Marzahn , Olaf Schubert and Tobias Künzel have guest appearances .

Others

The film premiered on May 20, 2016 in the theater in Eisleben . In contrast to the first Elsterglanz film, it came to the UCI, Cinestar and Cinemaxx cinemas in 35 cities in the new federal states shortly after the premiere, namely on June 9, 2016. This film was also shot in the Mansfeld region and in Lutherstadt Eisleben .

criticism

“Between thigh beating and quiet madness, between film quotes and allusions to regional peculiarities of the region, which is not exactly plagued by an indomitable upswing, a race is developing from intellectual volte to intellectual volte. Every scene has its lovingly arranged details, its cross-references, its loving allusions to political correctness, understaffing of the police in rural areas and dreary media clichés. "

"A roller coaster ride full of weird gags, sometimes really ingenious ideas, a remarkable performance by everyone involved and an astonishingly professional-looking production."
