Elsterglanz

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Elsterglanz are a comedian duo, consisting of the German comedians Gilbert Rödiger and Sven Wittek from Lutherstadt Eisleben . The trademark of the duo is the Mansfeld dialect mixed with GDR terms and characteristics of the Mansfeld region . The name was chosen based on a GDR cleaning agent, the Elsterglanz polishing paste .

Career

The duo had already begun at the end of the 1990s to parody well-known songs at parties "bei de Kumpelz" with weird rhymes. Rödiger and Wittek moved from Eisleben to Wiesbaden in 1998 for professional reasons, originally by profession physiotherapist and plumber. There they recorded several pieces of music and radio play sequences in 2000, burned them on CDs and gave them away to their acquaintances and friends in the Mansfeld region. These first recordings quickly spread through further copies and on the Internet, which made them widely known. The first public appearance of Elsterglanz took place on December 21, 2006 in the Eislebener Wiesenhaus, the 600 available tickets were sold out within a very short time. In the following years, the duo set various scenes from films such as Rambo III ( Rambo - the best cook in the world ), 300 ( The cold maker ), Titanic ( behavior when smelling gas ) and Winnetou and the half-blood Apanatschi ( Winnetou will fix it ), which with Almost 5 million hits on the YouTube video portal increased the awareness of Elsterglanz. In 2008 Elsterglanz received an offer to make their voices available for navigation software and to speak the instructions. After further appearances at various festivals such as With Full Force, Elsterglanz took part in the TV recording of the live show Cindy from Marzahn and the young wild animals in the Steintor Varieté in January 2010 . However, the performance was not broadcast.

Word creations

The saying “Make eggs!” From the dubbing of the film Rambo III has established itself among fans of Elsterglanz as an invitation to finally take action. It goes so far that at the premiere of the film Rambo IV in Halle (Saale) the cinema-goers shouted “Make eggs!” As soon as Sylvester Stallone stepped into the picture. It often happens among fans that the question "What was it last?" Is answered with "Sauergürschn" instead of repeating the last sentence.

Tours

Until 2014, the duo's tours took place exclusively in the new federal states . In spring 2014 Elsterglanz gave concerts outside the new federal states for the first time, namely in Göttingen and Mainz . These were the last additional concerts for the tour “Outbreak of Hotte Hüüh Syndrom”.
