The Elsternbuschbach is a 1,063 meter long stream in the Wuppertal district of Uellendahl-Katernberg and belongs to the Ruhr river system .

topography

The stream rises on a slope at around 277 meters above sea ​​level in the locations Wolfsholz and Metzmachersrath from several sources with two main sources. The near-natural source area with riverbank tall herbaceous vegetation is surrounded by fallow grassland; in the further course of the stream to east-northeast it is accompanied first by an alder forest , then by an alder forest.

After a distance of 300 meters the Elsterbusch Siefen flows into the Elsternbuschbach on the right . In the further course of the river the stream is fed from the right by Elsterbusch Siepen, Metzmachersrath Siefen and later from the Elsterbuscher Biotop. The Elsternbusch residential area , which was sold around 1880, was on the creek . In the second half of the Elsternbuschbach stream, it is accompanied on both sides by pastures and shaded by field trees. After a flow distance of 300 meters, the stream is fed from the right by the Rohlederbach.

After around 980 meters below the source, the Elsternbuschbach reaches the localities of Frickenhaus and Unterrohleder on the Unterrohleder Straße, which it crosses under pipes. After a further 70 meters it flows into the Heidacker Bach at a height of 232 meters above sea level .
