The Hofschaft is located in the northeast of the Siebeneick residential area in the Uellendahl-Katernberg district at an altitude of 230  m above sea level. NHN in the valley of the Heidacker Bach .

Neighboring places are the immediately adjacent places Brink , Frickenhaus , Heidacker and Schmitzhaus , as well as the surrounding places Obenrohleder , Schneis , Saurenhaus , Schmürsches , Mutzberg , Dümpel , Fingscheidt , Worth , Schevensiepen , Krieg and Wolfsholz . To the northeast is the Woltersberg elevation in the Grosse Busch / An Woternocken forest area.

In the local dialect, the place was also called ongen Roaleederesch or kleen Roaleederesch .

history

The Unterrohleder farm was first mentioned as Gut Roledershauß in a sales contract dated November 13, 1596. During this time it was also called Roleder or, as the case may be, down to Roleder . In 1703 the membership of the Hardenberg farmers' union Oberste Siebeneick is documented. One sixth split off from the Rohleder farm (today's address Unterrohleder 1). This split is called Kleen Roaleedersch (small raw leather , today's address lower raw leather 2 ).

The place is marked on the parish cadastre of the parcel cadastre of the Hardenberg mayor from 1815/16 as lower Roledar . In the 19th century, Unterrohleder belonged to the Obensiebeneick farmers and the Dönberg parish in the Hardenberg mayor's office , which was renamed Neviges in 1935 . From 1816 to 1861 it belonged to the Elberfeld district and from 1861 to the old Mettmann district .

In the parish dictionary for the Rhineland province of 1888, two houses with ten residents are given.

With the municipal reform of 1929, the southeastern part of Obensiebeneick was split off by Unterrohleder and incorporated into the newly founded city of Wuppertal together with southern Dönberg villages, the rest of Obensiebeneick initially remained with Neviges. Due to the regional reform of North Rhine-Westphalia , Neviges came to the city of Velbert at the beginning of 1975 and the rest of Obensiebeneick was also incorporated into Wuppertal.

In the 19th century, other buildings were built in Unterrohleder, including an inn.

Listed houses

The half-timbered house Unterrohleder 2 ( Kleinrohleder ), built in 1686, was next to its neighboring house Unterrohleder 3 ( Klein Frickenhaus ) as the oldest surviving house in Wuppertal and has been a listed building since 1994 due to the rarely documented regional house type . In 2004 the owner of the house Unterrohleder 2 wanted to renovate the house and also add an extension without prior detailed agreement with the responsible monument authority of the city of Wuppertal. In doing so, he completely removed the compartment and left only parts of the skeleton.

After becoming aware of the situation, on November 2, 2004 the house was officially removed from the list of monuments of the city of Wuppertal, as the entry requirements were no longer met. The owner was sentenced to a heavy fine for the destruction of the cultural monument ; building a new house at this point is generally not permitted. The final demolition is also not permitted ex officio.
