In the 19th century, Krähenberg belonged to the Obensiebeneick farming community in the Hardenberg mayor's office , which was renamed Neviges in 1935 . From 1816 to 1861 it belonged to the Elberfeld district and from 1861 to the old Mettmann district .
In the parish dictionary for the Rhineland province of 1888, two houses with twelve inhabitants are given.
With the municipal reform of 1929, the southeastern part of Obensiebeneick was split off and incorporated into the newly founded city of Wuppertal together with southern Dönberger localities, the rest of Obensiebeneick and Krähenberg initially remained with Neviges. Due to the regional reform of North Rhine-Westphalia , Neviges came to the city of Velbert at the beginning of 1975 and the rest of Obensiebeneick was also incorporated into Wuppertal.
