Elva Goulbourne

Elva Elizabeth Goulbourne (married Goulbourne-Rose ; born January 21, 1980 in Saint Ann Parish ) is a former Jamaican long jumper , who started because of her sprint strength in the 4-by-100-meter relay .

In 1999 she won bronze at the Pan American Games in Winnipeg , and in 2000 she was ninth at the Olympic Games in Sydney .

The following year she was Central America and Caribbean champion. At the 2001 World Athletics Championships in Edmonton, she was tenth and contributed to winning the bronze medal for the Jamaican team with a use in the run-up to the 4-by-100-meter relay .

In 2002 she won at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester gold in long jump and silver in the 4 x 100-meter relay, 2003, she defended her title at the Central American and Caribbean Championships, but resigned at the World Championships in Paris / Saint-Denis in the qualification.

Because of an injury, she decided not to take part in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. In 2005 she won silver at the Central American and Caribbean Championships and was eleventh at the World Championships in Helsinki .

In 2007 she finished fourth at the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro and was eliminated in the first round at the World Cup in Osaka .

Starting for Auburn University , she became NCAA indoor and outdoor champions in 2002 and 2003 ; In 2003 she also won the NCAA indoor triple jump title .
