Emo Simonyi
Emö Simonyi (born July 2, 1943 in Budapest ) is a painter of Hungarian origin.
Life
From 1961 to 1967 Simonyi studied painting and graphics at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest. In 1971 she moved to the Federal Republic of Germany and initially worked as a graphic designer . In 1993 she got a teaching position at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich . In 1995 she became a lecturer at the Marburg Summer Academy , which has continued into the present (as of 2019). In 1999 Simonyi founded the Sant'Anna painting academy in Camprena near Pienza in Tuscany . The painter's main place of residence has been Munich for many years.
Her artistic fields are expressive, narrative, figurative drawings and painting. Since 1998, three-dimensional objects made of cardboard have also been added.
