Emanoil Petruț

Emanoil Petruț (born February 6, 1932 in Mărăşeşti , Romania ; † August 8, 1983 ) was a Romanian actor .

Life

Emanoil Petruț studied from 1948 to 1953 at the Theater Faculty of the University of Bucharest . He then played for several years at the National Theater. He made his film debut while still a student when he starred in În sat la noi, directed by Jean Georgescu . Although he starred in films such as Kampf um Rom , Das Schloß hinterm Regenbogen and Severino in the next few years , Petruț was mainly involved in the theater. By 1973 he played in over 100 plays and was awarded several theater prizes.

Petruț was married to the presenter Catinca Ralea (1929–1981). The couple had a son, the actor Tudor Petruț (* 1963).
