Emil Heller

Emil Heller (born September 13, 1860 ; † September 28, 1950 in Eglisau ) was a Swiss politician (BGB) .

biography

Emil Heller was born on September 13, 1860 as the son of Hans Ulrich Heller and Elisabeth, née Lauffer. He was a farmer in Eglisau, whose citizenship he also had. In 1883 he married Amalie Katharina Siegrist from Rafz , daughter of Salomon Siegrist.

Emil Heller was on the town council of Eglisau from 1886 to 1919 , from 1898 on as mayor . From 1896 to 1917 he was a member of the Zurich Cantonal Council . In the years 1928-1935 he sat for the BGB in the National Council . In addition, from 1912 he was president of the Zurich jury for cattle shows. Furthermore, Heller was president of the local farmers' party and the agricultural association until 1923.

Emil Heller died on September 28, 1950 in Eglisau.
