Emil Leisler

Emil Achilles Leisler (to differentiate himself from his brother also Leisler the Younger) (born February 27, 1805 in Niederwalluf , † September 18, 1869 in Wiesbaden ) was a German lawyer and member of parliament.

Leisler was the son of the court attorney and procurator Johann Adam Leisler and his wife Augusta Friederike nee Wurm. The lawyer and MP Johann Ernst Christoph Achilles Leisler (1795–1875) was his brother. Leisler was a Protestant denomination.

Leisler studied law in Marburg and Göttingen from 1825 and completed his studies with a doctorate in law. jur. from. Then he was an advocate in Höchst am Main . In 1841 he became official procurator and in 1844 changed to the state capital Wiesbaden in the same function. Until 1867 he was procurator of the court of appeals, then a lawyer.

He was a member of the Heidelberg Assembly and the Pre-Parliament . Politically, he represented liberal positions.
