Emil Poerksen
Emil Pörksen (born July 7, 1840 in Rettin , † October 26, 1920 in Itzehoe ) was a German proofreader and author.
Life
Peter Christian Emil Pörksen was a son of the village school teacher Jens Pörksen. He attended the village school and did an apprenticeship as a printer in Neustadt in Holstein from 1855 to 1860 . He then went on a hike until 1867 and then worked at the Kiel University Book Printing Company until 1872 . Then he went to Itzehoe and became a proofreader in JG Pfingsten's book printer. Poerksen published mainly in the magazine Die Heimat .
