Emil Raykov

Emil Raykov (born July 11, 1958 ) is a Bulgarian opera singer (tenor).

Raykov received his vocal training as a tenor at the National Music Academy “Prof. Pantscho Wladigerow ” in Sofia and at the Vienna Conservatory . Engagements led him u. a. to Döbeln , Gera , the Bonn Opera and Cologne Opera .

Raykov was on the stage of the Bonn opera. a. as Cavaradossi in Puccini's Tosca, as MacDuff in Verdi's Macbeth , as steward at Faninal in Richard Strauss ' Rosenkavalier , as the coachman in Dmitri Shostakovich's Lady Macbeth of Mzensk , as the helmsman in Richard Wagner's Holländer , as the voice behind the scene in Janáček's opera From a House of the Dead and to be heard as Arturo in Lucia di Lammermoor .
