Emil Streichert

Emil Streichert (born January 3, 1848 in Tilsit ; † January 19, 1929 in Berlin ) was a German architect and construction clerk .

Streichert studied at the Berlin Building Academy . In 1877 he took part in the excavations in Olympia with Conrad Steinbrecht in support of Friedrich Adler . From 1876 to 1884 he worked as a site manager under Ludwig von Tiedemann in the construction of the university clinics in Halle. In 1884 he came to the Berlin city planning administration under city planning officer Hermann Blankenstein , whose deputy he became in 1888 and whom he helped with technical and administrative questions. From 1894 to 1895 he built the 10th municipal secondary school at Auguststrasse 21 in Berlin with Hermann Blankenstein and August Lindemann . After Ludwig Hoffmann took office in 1896, he became administrative director of the municipal gas works in Berlin . In 1900 he retired due to blindness.
