Emil Welz

Emil Welz (born April 5, 1879 in Frankfurt am Main ; date of death unknown) was a German discus and javelin thrower .

At the Olympic Games in London in 1908 he was eleventh in the discus throw (free style) and retired in the javelin throw (free style) in the qualification.

In 1912 he came in 24th place in the discus throw at the Olympic Games in Stockholm .

He was German champion in discus throwing four times ( 1906 , 1908 , 1909 , 1911 ). He set his personal best of 41.84 m on September 18, 1910 in Berlin .

Emil Welz initially started for SC Komet Berlin and later for ATB Frankfurt .
