Jakob Emil Witte (born November 15, 1905 in Mogendorf ; † December 24, 1975 in Montabaur ) was a German administrative officer and politician ( SPD ).

Life

Witte attended elementary school from 1912 to 1920 and did an apprenticeship at the Montabaur district council. From 1927 he worked in the middle and from 1928 in the higher administrative service. Between 1933 and 1935 he lived in the Saar area . After the reintegration of the Saarland into the German Reich, he was an administrative clerk at the Königsberg / Neumark district office from 1935 to 1936, at the Bad Dürrenberg community from 1936 to 1945 and at the Montabaur district office in 1946. In 1961 he became head of the accounting and community auditing office and district administrator in Montabaur. From 1954 to 1963 he did part-time teaching at the Montabaur District Vocational School.

In 1925 he joined the SPD and became a member of the SPD local association and district executive. During the Nazi era , he was a member of the German Labor Front from 1933 to 1935, from 1935 a member of the Reich Association of German Civil Servants (RDB), from 1935 a member of the National Socialist People's Welfare (NSV) and from 1937 a member of the NSDAP . The verdict of the clearing commissions of the Unterwesterwaldkreis from January 20, 1947 was: Downgrading to ordinary employees and a 20% reduction in salary for one year. The objection directed against it became irrelevant because the purge proceedings by the Montabaur ruling chamber were discontinued on April 21, 1948 due to an amnesty.

After the war, Witte became a member of the SPD again and from 1948 was a member of the Communal Political Committee of the SPD Rhineland / Hesse-Nassau and from 1961 sub-district chairman of the SPD Montabaur. Since 1948 he was a member of the Mogendorf City Council and from 1956 a member of the Montabaur City Council.

In 1963 he was elected to the fifth state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate , to which he belonged for one term until 1967. In the state parliament he was a member of the economic and transport committee. In 1964 he was a member of the 4th Federal Assembly .

In addition, he had been a union member since 1922. 1923-1933 and 1947 he did voluntary work in the workers gymnastics and sports movement. 1950–1958 he was a member of the district officials committee of the public services, transport and traffic union, 1954 chairman of the district officials committee, DGB district committee Westerwald and 1955–1961 member of the state officials committee in the German trade union federation, Rhineland-Palatinate region.
