The Emile River is a left tributary of the Marian River in Canada's Northwest Territories .

The Emile River has its origin in a nameless lake at about 440  m altitude northwest of Rawalpindi Lake . It flows mainly in a southerly direction through the Canadian Shield . It flows east past Irritation Lake . It flows through a number of lakes, including Scraper Lake , Rodrigues Lake , Brown Water Lake , Boland Lake , Discovery Lake , Norris Lake , Mattberry Lake , Basler Lake and Labrish Lake , before flowing into the Marian River on the left. The catchment area of ​​the upper Emile River borders in the east on that of the Parent River , a tributary of the Coppermine River , and in the west on that of the Acasta River , which flows into the Great Bear Lake via the Wopmay River and Camsell River .
