It then takes the Emile River from the left and the Rivière la Martre , the outflow of the Lac la Martre to the west , from the right. Shortly before its confluence with the northern end of Marian Lake, the Marian River flows through the small lake Shoti Lake . The water of Marian Lake flows over the Frank Channel into the Great Slave Lake to the south . The Marian River is approximately 200 km in length.
