Emiliano Dumestre

Emiliano Dumestre Guaraglia (born February 11, 1987 in Colonia ) is a Uruguayan rower .

The 1.86 meter tall athlete rowed the victory at the 2006 South American Games in Buenos Aires in a four-man team with Rodolfo Collazo , Ángel García and Joe Reboledo . The following year he took part in the 2007 Pan American Games . Four years later he also won gold in a pair of two with Rodolfo Collazo at the South American Games in Medellín, Colombia . In the Uruguayan foursome, he took silver medal there. When he took part in the Pan American Games in 2011 , he was denied a medal win. In 2012 he also took part in the Rowing World Cups held in Lucerne and Munich . There he and Colazzo reached 3rd place in the C-Finals in the last-mentioned competition in two.

Dumestre was in the Uruguayan squad for the 2012 Summer Olympics . In London he started with Rodolfo Collazo in the lightweight double sculls, reached the C-final and finished 16th . He took part with the Uruguayan team in the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto and finished in 7th place.

Awards

As part of the honors of the best Uruguayan athletes the period 2009-2010 ( "Deportista del Año"), he was 28 March 2011 by the Uruguayan Olympic Committee in Teatro Solís together with Rodolfo Collazo as the best athlete of the year 2010 in the category "Rowing " excellent.
