life and work
In 1967, the curator Germano Celant invited Emilio Prini together with Alighiero Boetti , Luciano Fabro , Jannis Kounellis , Pino Pascali and Giulio Paolini to participate in the legendary exhibition Arte povera e IM spazio / Arme Kunst und IM Raum in the Galleria La Bertesca in Genoa .
Emilio Prini worked with light, photography, sound and writing. The relationship between reality and its reproduction was an important theme in his work.
In one project over the years, Emilio Prini took thousands of photos with a single camera until it stopped working. On a similar project, he had a tape recorder record its own sounds until it stopped working .
