The Karaga ( Russian Карага ) is a 109 km long tributary of the Bering Sea in the east of the Kamchatka Peninsula.

River course

The Karaga rises in the Sredinny ridge at an altitude of about 1000  m . From there it flows in a predominantly east-southeast direction to the sea. At river kilometer 59 the Eruwajam meets the Karaga from the right. The Karaga forms an 8 km wide river delta at the confluence with the Karaga Bay . About 10 km north of the estuary is Ossora , an urban-type settlement . The village of Karaga is located on the north bank of Karaga Bay . The Karaga Bay opens up to the Lütkestrasse , which belongs to the Bering Sea and runs between Kamchatka and the Karaginski Island in front of it. The catchment area of the Karaga is located in the Karaginski district and covers an area of ​​2190 km².
