Emily Hirst

Emily Hirst (born July 9, 1993 in Vancouver , British Columbia ) is a Canadian actress .

Life

Hirst made her debut in an episode of the television series Twilight Zone from 2002. After a small supporting role in the SF action film X-Men 2 (2003), she appeared in a larger role on the side of Jennifer Beals in the drama Desolation Sound (2005). For this role she was nominated for the Leo Award in 2005.

In the thriller Memory - When Thoughts Kill (2006), Hirst played alongside Billy Zane . In the same year she played a vampire in the television series Blade - The Hunt Goes On . Since she was only 12 years old when it was filming, her mother often banned her from watching the series on television. She only did this in secret when the mother was absent.

Her role in the television drama For the Love of a Child (2006) brought Hirst the Young Artist Award in 2007 . In the same year she received another nomination for the Young Artist Award for a guest appearance on the television series Smallville .
