Hendrik Großöhmichen (born June 6, 1985 in Hanover ) is a German football player who is used both in central defense and in defensive midfield .

Career

Youth in Lower Saxony

Großöhmichen began his football career with Heesseler SV from Burgdorf-Heeßel, which is near his birthplace . As a B-youth , Großöhmichen moved to VfL Wolfsburg in 2001 , but only stayed there for one season and at the beginning of his A-youth time in the summer of 2002 he joined the Hanoverian sports club from 1896 .

For Hanover's A-Jugend Großöhmichen first played in the U-19 regional league and then in the newly created U-19 Bundesliga , in which he made 22 appearances in the 2003/04 premiere season , in which he scored two goals. Hanover qualified as champions of the North Season for the final round of the German A-Juniors ' soccer championship , so Großöhmichen played twice for Hanover's A-Youth in the semi-finals against the later title holder Bayern Munich , but was ultimately eliminated from the competition.

Starts at Hannover 96

In the summer of 2004 Großöhmichen moved up to the men's area of Hanover, where he was initially assigned to the second team, which played in the fourth-class Oberliga Nord in the 2004/05 season and took eleventh place in the final table. In the reserve team supervised by Jörg Goslar, Großöhmichen was not able to assert itself this season and completed 13 goalless appearances. In the following season 2005/06 Großöhmichen established himself as a top performer of the team, and contributed with three goals in 29 missions to fifth place in the table at the end of the season. Because of these achievements, he had meanwhile also been appointed to the professional squad of Hanover, who played first under Ewald Lienen , then under Peter Neururer against the threatened relegation from the Bundesliga in 2005/06 . Großöhmichen was used for the Hanoverian professional team but only in friendly games. He left the club at the end of the 2006 season.

In the meantime, Großöhmichen had also started studying to be a high school teacher in the subjects of sport and mathematics, but broke it off again due to lack of time.

Großöhmichen at VfL Osnabrück

In VfL Osnabrück Großöhmichen found a new employer, for whom he initially also ran up with the reserve team in the fourth-class Oberliga Nord. He made his debut for the team supervised by Heiko Flottmann against his former teammates from Hannover 96. During the 2006/07 season , Großöhmichen was used nine more times in the league, since he was also a permanent member of the team from the end of September 2006 Belonged to the professional team that played for promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2006/07 season of the third-class regional league under coach Claus-Dieter Wollitz . So Großöhmichen came from the tenth match day to 21 missions, through which he had a share in the rise as second in the table.

Osnabrück strengthened the team after promotion with some newcomers, so that Großöhmichen was no longer one of Osnabrück's regulars at the beginning of the 2007/08 second division season and instead continued to play in the top division for the 2007/08 season . Subsequently, Großöhmichen suffered a partial tear of the patellar tendon and was therefore out for the rest of the first half of the season. So Großöhmichen was only used at the beginning of the second half of the season for the first time in the 2nd Bundesliga, in which he played three games in February and March 2008, but was then no longer considered again. In the reserve team Osnabrück he came to three more missions in March and April 2008, before his contract, which expired at the end of the season, was no longer extended.

Via Kiel to Magdeburg

Großöhmichen then moved back to the regional league, which was only the fourth highest division due to a division reform. He signed a one-year contract with the Kieler SV Holstein coached by Peter Vollmann and completed twelve missions during the first half of the season, but was no longer used at the beginning of the second half due to repeated injuries. It was not until April 2009 that Großöhmichen returned to the team, which had meanwhile been trained by Falko Götz , where he made six more appearances for promotion to the third division . In the meantime, Großöhmichen had also played for Kiel's reserve in the fifth-class Oberliga Schleswig-Holstein . His contract, which expired in the summer, was not extended, which meant that Großöhmichen was initially without a club.

After six months without a club, Großöhmichen was signed by the regional league club 1. FC Magdeburg in mid-February 2010 for the remainder of the 2009/10 season . In the team supervised by Steffen Baumgart , however, he only came to two missions in February and March 2010, so that in April and May he played four more times for Magdeburg's reserve team in the sixth class association league Saxony-Anhalt before his engagement in Magdeburg ended in June 2010.

Großöhmichen at Hansa Rostock

In July 2010 Großöhmichen completed a trial training session at Hansa Rostock , in which, however, he suffered a knee injury and was absent for several weeks. After completing his rehabilitation, Großöhmichen signed a contract with Hansa Rostock, initially dated until 2011, in September 2010, for which he now played in the third division under Peter Vollmann, who was already known to him from Kiel. Initially he was used at Hansa in the reserve team, which took part in the fifth-class Oberliga Nordost in 2010/11 under coach Axel Rietentiet . On October 9, 2010, he played his first competitive game for Rostock's professional team when he was substituted on in the state cup against Neumühler SV. In the third division season 2010/11 Großöhmichen was only used almost two months later when he came back into the game against Regensburg on November 28, 2010 by substituting. In total, he came to eight missions for Hansa, which eventually reached promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. In addition, Hansa won the state cup this season, to which Großöhmichen had contributed with four appearances. His contract, which expired at the end of the season, was not extended.

Change to Finland

After six months without a club, Großöhmichen signed a one-year contract with FC Lahti in January 2012 , who had previously been promoted to the Veikkausliiga after a year in the Finnish second division . In February Großöhmichen suffered a broken metatarsus in the Liigacup game against FC Honka , so that Lahti played the first games of the 2012 season without Großöhmichen. At the end of the 2012 season Großöhmichen finished fifth with the club. His contract in Finland was subsequently not renewed.

Großöhmichen at VfB Oldenburg

After returning from Finland and six months without a club, Großöhmichen signed a one-year contract with VfB Oldenburg in June 2013 and was supposed to act as a leading player there.

After his contract in Oldenburg had not been extended, Großöhmichen signed on in April 2015 with his youth club Heesseler SV in the Hanover regional league .
