The Heesseler SV is a sports club in Heeßel , Lower Saxony , a district of Burgdorf near Hanover .
history
The sports club was founded in 1973 with only a small football division . Other departments were quickly added; today, in addition to soccer, training is also provided in the areas of badminton , basketball , fitness , health sports , cycling and table tennis . The association has a total of around 2,000 members.
In the 2006/07 season the Heesseler SV was champion in the Hanover regional league and thus rose to the fifth-class Lower Saxony league . After the league reform in 2008, the club continued to play fifth class in the Lower Saxony Oberliga in the 2008/09 season . With the achievement of 15th place, however, followed in 2009 the relegation to the national league, in which the first team also currently plays. In 2016, a planned merger of the football department with that of TSV Burgdorf to Grün-Weiß Burgdorf-Heeßel failed .
The soccer department is characterized in particular by its good youth work. A large part of the players in the current squad are from their own youth. B. the former junior players Henrik Ernst and Hendrik Großöhmichen to professionals.
Venue
The Heesseler SV plays at the Dorfstraße sports facility in Heeßel. The sports field offers space for around 1,000 visitors.
