action

Emily Owens begins training at Denver Memorial Hospital and wants to leave her old life as a high school geek behind. But I have to realize that the daily routine of a doctor is the same as a high school day. Still, she finds friends in Tyra and Micah and has an immortal crush on Will, her crush from medical school. But Will prefers to start an affair with Cassandra, Emily's high school archenemy.

main characters

Emily Owens

Emily is a junior year resident at Denver Memorial Hospital and tries to assert herself in the everyday life of the hospital. But there she also meets former friends such as her fellow student Will, with whom she was in love, as well as her former arch rival Cassandra from her high school days. But the newfound friendships with her new colleagues Tyra Granger and Micah Barnes help her to master the old and new challenges.

Will Collins

Will is a handsome and charming resident surgeon who Emily knows from college. Since he only has a friendly interest in Emily, she constantly tries to hide her romantic feelings.

Cassandra Kopelson

Cassandra tried to ridicule Emily even in high school. In the hospital, too, Cassandra takes the competition among trainee doctors very seriously and does not shy away from rumors and intrigues in order to be the best.

Tyra Dupre

Tyra, also a first year intern, befriends Emily quickly and soon confides her secrets to her. Above all, it worries her that she cannot publicly confess her homosexuality, since her father is also the chief surgeon.

Micah Barnes

Micah is the ward doctor in charge who is often on hand to give Emily advice and assistance.

Gina Bandari

Dr. Gina Bandari is the cardiac surgeon at the Denver Memorial and Emily's great professional role model.
