Emma Kenney

Emma Rose Kenney (* 14. September 1999 in New York City , New York ) is an American actress . She became best known for her roles in Epic , Shameless, and Bittersweet .

Life

Emma Kenney is the daughter of a sports journalist. She began her acting training at the age of 5 with improvisation lessons. At the age of 8, she signed a contract with a manager, began appearing in national commercials and received voice-over assignments. Her short film The New Girl in Town was shown at the 2009 New Jersey International Film Festival.

Since 2011 she has played the role of Debbie Gallagher in the television series Shameless , the fourth of six children of the alcoholic Frank Gallagher. While filming, she receives private tuition on the set, and the rest of the time she attends a public school in New Jersey .
