Emma Leavitt-Morgan (born May 22, 1865 - December 29, 1956 ) was an American tennis player .

Life

Emma Leavitt was born in 1865. On January 22, 1885, she married William Fellowes Morgan at St. Thomas Church, New York . In 1891 she won the women's doubles at the US tennis championships alongside the Irish Mabel Cahill . In the final they defeated last year's winners Ellen and Grace Roosevelt in three sets with 2: 6, 8: 6, 6: 4. In the singles she was eliminated against Adelaide Clarkson in the first round with 2: 6 and 5: 6.

Leavitt-Morgan died in 1956 and was buried in Green-Wood Cemetery , Brooklyn .
