Emmy Meyer-Laule

Emmy Meyer-Laule b. Emma Laule, (born February 20, 1899 in Wehr (Baden) , † March 15, 1985 in Wiesloch ) was a German SPD politician .

Life

Emmy Meyer-Laule was already involved in the SPD after the First World War and was again a member of the Social Democrats after 1945. She was a party official with a focus on women's politics .

Meyer-Laule was a member of the German Bundestag from its first election in 1949 to 1961. In 1949 she was elected to parliament via the state list of Württemberg-Baden , then via that of Baden-Württemberg . From 1953 to 1957 she was deputy chairman of the Bundestag committee on the consequences of the occupation. She was also a deputy delegate to the Council of Europe from 1953 to 1961 .
