The Empire Tower 1 ( Thai : ตึก เอ็ ม ไพ ร์ - tɯ̀k ʔempʰaj ) is a skyscraper in Bangkok and as of 2019 the eleventh tallest building in the Thai capital.

The building, completed in 1999, contains a few shops and restaurants, mainly office and conference rooms. 52 elevators ensure the rapid transport of people between the floors . More than 2,500 parking spaces are available in the basement. The entire building complies with the latest technology standards in terms of telephone and Internet communication. The planning was carried out on the American model, the guidelines for fire protection and the establishment of a security center are based on the US regulations.
When it was completed in 1999, the Empire Tower was the second tallest building in Bangkok and all of Thailand, only surpassed by Baiyoke Tower 2 ; since then it has been overtaken by a few other, higher buildings.
location
The building is located on Thanon Sathon Tai (South Sathon Street) in the Yan Nawa District . The proximity to the Skytrain station Chong Nonsi is particularly advantageous , which means that many commuters do not have to travel by car.
