Emraan Hashmi

Emraan Anwar Hashmi ( Hindi इमरान हाशमी [ɪmraːn ˈɦaːʃmiː]; born March 24, 1979 in Mumbai ) is an Indian actor who appears predominantly in Hindi films . He is called the serial kisser because there is a kissing scene between him and his partner in each of his films.

Life

Hashmi comes from the Bhatt family dynasty , which has been active in the film industry for a long time. Actress Alia Bhatt is his cousin and directors Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt are his paternal uncles. Emraan Hashmi married Parveen Shahani in 2006 and has had a son named Ayaan with her since 2010. In 2014 his son was diagnosed with cancer.

Career

Before starting as an actor, Hashmi worked with Vishesh Films as an assistant in Raaz (2002). In 2003 he made his debut with Footpath under Bhatt's production and subsequently appeared in the erotic thriller Murder (2004), which proved to be a box office hit. In Ek Thi Dayaan , Huma Qureshi and Kalki Koechlin played witches. Hashmi starred in several successful films in the following years, mostly under Vishesh Films. He starred in Silk Smitha's biopic The Dirty Pictures , alongside Vidya Balan and Naseeruddin Shah . His newer films such as Raja Natwarlal and Ungli are not successful .
