Ems-Jade-Weg is the name of a regional hiking trail of the Wiehengebirgsverband Weser-Ems . The route is 73 kilometers long and leads from Emden via Aurich to Wilhelmshaven . It is named after the Ems-Jade Canal , which connects the two rivers Ems and Jade .

Routing

The path begins in Emden at Rathausplatz, leads to the boiler lock , leaves the city in the east and largely follows the Ems-Jade Canal. The district town of Aurich is reached after 24 kilometers. It continues past many historical locks that are still in operation . Leaving the village of Reepsholt to the north, the route continues past Sander See to Wilhelmshaven. The goal is the canal path at the Great Harbor.

Between Aurich and Wilhelmshaven, the Ems-Jade-Weg is part of the European coastal long -distance hiking route E 9 from the Iberian Peninsula to Poland.

The path is marked with a white anchor on a black background.
