Enarophoros
Enarophoros or Enarsphoros ( ancient Greek Ἐναροφόρος, Ἐναρσφόρος ) is a person of Greek mythology .
He is the son of the hippocoon from Amyklai . Together with his father and his brothers Dorykleus , Skaios , Bukolos , Euteiches , Lykaithos , Tebros , Hippothoos , Eurytos , Hippokorystes , Alkinos and Alkon , he drives the rulers of Sparta , Ikarios and Tyndareos , out of the city. Hippocoon and all his sons are killed by Heracles , whereupon Tyndareus takes control again. Plutarch reports a variant of the myth of the rape of Helen , a daughter of Tyndareus. According to this variant, Theseus does not commit the robbery, but Enarophoros wants to rob the child Helena , which is why her father puts her into the care of Theseus for security.
According to Pausanias , there were Heroa of the hippocoon sons Alkimos and Enaraiphoros , who can be identified with Enarophoros , in Sparta . Not far from there were Heroa of Dorkeus and Sebros , who can probably be identified with Dorycleus and Tebros.
