The Endako River is an approximately 120 km long left tributary of the Stellako River in the north-central part of the Canadian province of British Columbia .
The Endako River rises at an altitude of about 1250 m on the Nechako Plateau , 18 km southwest of Babine Lake . It initially flows 10 km to the south. To the east of Rose Lake , the Endako River turns south-southeast. The British Columbia Highway 16 (Yellowhead Highway) follows from the Rose Lake the river to the mouth. The river passes Burns Lake Airport . Then it flows through the 12.5 km long Decker Lake . Burns Lake is 2 km below Decker Lake . This forms a 22 km long river broadening of the Endako River. Burns Lake parish is on its north shore . Below Burns Lake, the Endako River flows in an east-southeast direction. At the same time, it shows a strongly meandering behavior. The Endako River finally flows into the Stellako River, 1.5 km above its confluence with Fraser Lake .
Hydrology
The Endako River drains an area of about 1780 km². The mean discharge below Burns Lake is 3.46 m³ / s. The highest monthly outflows usually occur from April to June.
