Engelbert Matthias von Hörde

Engelbert Matthias Freiherr von Hörde (born September 12, 1786 at Schwarzenraben Castle ; † June 5, 1846 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a Prussian landowner and district administrator .

Life

Engelbert Matthias von Hörde came from the Westphalian nobility of Hörde . He studied law at the universities of Göttingen , Würzburg and Heidelberg , was appointed to the district administrator of the Lippstadt district on March 26, 1817 and was dismissed from civil service on October 13, 1821 at his own request. In 1933 he was a member of the 3rd Provincial Parliament of the Province of Westphalia .

Von Hörde was married to Marie Kunigunde Freiin von Asbeck. After his death, the Hoerde line (Schwarzenraben) became extinct in the male line. His widow married twice more, most recently in 1863 to Freiherr Friedrich Clemens von Ketteler .

Von Hörde was the owner of several manors, including Störmede and Eringerfeld .
