Enrico Gaede (born January 31, 1982 in Stralsund ) is a former German soccer player who last played for KSV Hessen Kassel .
Career
The midfielder began his career at FC Pommern Stralsund . There he was discovered by the scouts of Borussia Mönchengladbach and played for Mönchengladbach 35 times in the Bundesliga . During the winter break of the 2004/05 season he was loaned to Rot-Weiss Essen , as he was not considered by the then Borussia coach Dick Advocaat . For Essen, he only played nine second division games due to an injury .
After the relegation of Essen to the Regionalliga , Gaede moved to the Bundesliga relegated Hansa Rostock for the 2005/06 season and thus returned to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . However, he could not prevail there either and completed only twelve games in the 2005/06 season. In 2006/07 it was not used at all. From January 2007 to 2008 he laced his soccer shoes for the third division club Sportfreunde Siegen .
Gaede has played for KSV Hessen Kassel since 2008 , for which he made his debut on August 23, 2008 in the game against SV Waldhof Mannheim , when he was started by coach Mirko Dickhaut . From the 2009/10 season he was captain of the team until 2012. Most recently, in 2013, he extended his contract with Hessen for 2 years.
On April 2, 2015, Gaede announced that he wanted to end his football career after the 2014/15 season.
