Enrico Gras

Enrico Gras (born March 7, 1919 in Genoa , † March 5, 1981 in Rome ) was an Italian documentary filmmaker .

Life

Gras graduated with an engineering degree ; Together with his friend Luciano Emmer , he made numerous short films from 1941 , almost all of them on art-historical topics. From 1949 he continued this activity in Argentina and later in Uruguay. In the mid-1950s he returned to his home country; After a script from 1946, he was now involved in several documentary feature films and feature films from 1955 as a co-director. He was also active in this role in 1961, again at the side of Mario Craveri .

He also made numerous other documentary films with Craveri, now for television, until Gras worked with Giulio Macchi on the television series Il pensiero dell'occhio in 1978 .
